TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Introduction

Welcome to Megan Thomas Lash Academy. By booking, purchasing or using any of our services, including our website, training courses, treatments, and products, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before booking or purchasing.

2. Definitions

• “We”, “Us”, “Our”: Megan Thomas Lash Academy.

• “You”, “Your”, “Client”, “Student”: Any individual accessing or using our services.

• “Services”: All offerings, including training courses, treatments, product sales, website access and digital content.

• “Booking Fee”: The 50% non-refundable payment required to secure any course, treatment or appointment.

3. Booking, Payments & Non-Refundable Booking Fee

• A 50% non-refundable Booking Fee is required to secure all appointments, courses and treatments.

• The remaining balance must be paid before or on the day of your appointment or course.

• If you cancel after paying in full, you may request a refund of 50% (the Booking Fee is always retained).

• Accepted payment methods include:

• All major UK debit and credit card providers processed securely via Square Payments,

• PayPal,

• Klarna,

• Clearpay.

• We do not store your payment details.

• Instalment plans are available only upon request via the course enquiry form; an invoice and payment schedule will be created.

4. Slot Availability & 24-Hour Booking Block

• We operate a strict 24-hour booking block, meaning:

• No new bookings can be made within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment.

• No rescheduling can occur within 24 hours.

• Once inside this window, your slot is locked and cannot be refilled, changed, or transferred.

5. Cancellations, No-Shows & Refund Requests

• The 50% Booking Fee is strictly non-refundable in all circumstances.

• If you cancel and have paid in full, you may request a 50% refund within 30 days of the scheduled appointment date.

• Refunds are not automatic; you must contact us to request one.

• No-shows automatically forfeit the Booking Fee and any further payments.

Rescheduling

• You may reschedule your appointment only by using the “Change/Cancel Appointment” link in your Acuity confirmation email.

• Rescheduling must be completed at least 24 hours before your appointment.

• Any reschedule request made within 24 hours is treated as a cancellation; the Booking Fee is forfeited.

• In the unlikely event that we must cancel or reschedule, you will be notified as soon as possible.

• A new appointment date will be offered; no refunds will be issued in this situation.

6. Course Attendance & Conduct

• You must arrive on time for all courses or treatments.

• Arriving 10 minutes or more late may result in cancellation of your session, and all payments will be forfeited.

• Respectful, professional conduct is required at all times. We may refuse service to anyone displaying inappropriate, unsafe or abusive behaviour.

• Professional and suitable attire is required for all training courses.

7. Course Materials, Models & Student Responsibilities

• All course tools, lash products and training materials required on the day will be provided.

• Additional products may be purchased through our online shop.

• Some courses require you to bring a model; this will be stated clearly in your confirmation email.

• Patch tests for your model (if required) must be completed 24–48 hours prior to treatment.

• If you cannot provide a model, we may arrange one for a £10 fee, subject to availability.

• You must follow all health, safety and hygiene instructions provided during training.

8. Client Suitability, Patch Testing & Health Conditions

• You must disclose any allergies, medical conditions, medications or sensitivities that could affect treatment suitability.

• We reserve the right to refuse treatment if we believe it may be unsafe or unsuitable.

• Patch tests may be required for certain treatments; failure to complete patch testing voids your right to treatment and any refund.

• By booking, you consent to undergoing treatment or training at your own risk.

9. Aftercare & Client Responsibilities

• You are responsible for following all aftercare instructions.

• We are not responsible for adverse outcomes caused by failure to follow aftercare or by improper use of products outside our academy.

10. Product Sales, Delivery & Returns

• All sales are final unless the item is defective or damaged on arrival.

• You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery if goods arrive damaged or faulty.

• Lash and beauty products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless proven faulty.

• Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail; delivery times may vary.

• We are not liable for courier delays or shipping errors made by third parties.

11. Website Use & Intellectual Property

• All website content, training manuals, images, digital resources and other materials are the property of Megan Thomas Lash Academy.

• You may not copy, reproduce, share, distribute or use our materials for commercial purposes without written permission.

• Access to course materials does not grant you ownership or redistribution rights.

• We reserve the right to remove user-generated content that is inappropriate, infringing or defamatory.

12. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)

• We collect personal data necessary for bookings, payments, patch tests and training administration.

• Your information is processed under UK GDPR principles.

• Data is never sold to third parties.

• Full details are provided in our Privacy Policy located on our website.

• By booking or contacting us, you consent to the processing of your personal data for service-related purposes.

13. Liability & Indemnity Disclaimer

• We are not responsible for any injury, reaction, loss or damage arising from services or products, unless required by law.

• Training courses teach professional techniques, but we do not guarantee business results, employment outcomes or client acquisition.

• You agree to indemnify Megan Thomas Lash Academy against any claims arising from misuse of training, tools, or products.

• Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

• Any disputes shall be handled exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

15. Amendments

• We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.

• Significant changes will be posted on this page.

• Your continued use of our services indicates acceptance of updated terms.
