Royal Mail Postage Update for the Lash Shop 2022

 

First, the GOOD news about Postage Prices!

 

In April 2022, Royal Mail increased its postage prices. The price of a Large First Class stamp will rise by 16p and the price of a Second Class stamp will increase by 9p.

 

Megan Thomas Lash Academy have decided to swallow these costs out of its profits and not pass the increases onto you. The only change we have taken is to increase the "Standard Free Delivery" minimum spend threshold from £35 to £50. So to get Free Standard delivery on your Lash Stock orders, please spend £50 and the discount will automatically apply at the checkout. 

 

Now, the BAD news! 

 

Royal Mail has been taking a little longer than normal to deliver post in some areas. The union have also announced strike days over November and December, so please consider this when ordering your lash shop. Please allow an extra couple of days before contacting us. 

 

• Second-class postage normally takes 2-3 days but can take 5-7 working days.
• First-class postage normally takes 1-3 working days business days but THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED!

 

The only Guaranteed Next Weekday Service is the Special Delivery service. Royal Mail will guarantee this next-day service if the order is dispatched before 1 pm. 

 

The Megan Thomas Lash Shop will send you an email once your lash stock order has been processed and dispatched.

 

Update 20/11/22

Royal Mail Strike Update

 

Royal Mail workers are to strike on six days in December, including Christmas Eve, usually one of the busiest days of the year for the company.

 

The action is on top of four days already announced for late November, around the Black Friday shopping weekend. Confirmed Strike Dates: 24th, 25th, 30th of November and 1st December.

 

The new strikes have been called for the 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 23rd and 24th of December, the busiest time of the year for deliveries.

 

Please consider these strike dates when placing your orders. If you need an order urgently, the ONLY guaranteed delivery option is Special Delivery.
